About me

I have a calm, respectful, collaborative approach and aim to create a safe, warm environment where you feel supported to discuss and explore any topic or problem. I provide treatment for people experiencing a range of problems, including (but not limited to): depression, anxiety, trauma-related symptoms, interpersonal and relationship problems, and problems adjusting to life change. Or people simply seeking further understanding of themselves and self-development.

I am a registered psychologist who holds a Bachelor of Psychology and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Psychology (with distinction). I was awarded Queensland University of Technology’s (QUT) 2012 Post-Graduate Diploma in Psychology Prize, awarded to the student who achieves the highest grade point average in the course.

In my personal life, I am married and have two children. My passions and interests, outside of psychology and psychotherapy, include a love of music, reading (both fiction and non-fiction) and sport (my own sporting career was, however, cruelly cut short by a lack of ability!).

I am passionate about, and deeply committed to, the profession of psychology and psychotherapy. This passion and commitment stems from a belief — a belief very well supported by research — that good psychotherapy can significantly improve and enrich people’s lives.
